This blog was set up by the Mobile GIS project team at EDINA. EDINA have been commissioned by JISC to conduct a scoping project investigating the potential and the demand for mobile GIS in Higher and Further education and research. This wiki has been set up to help EDINA disseminate information to stakeholder partners and to encourage these stakeholders to enter into discussion as the scoping study progresses. It is hoped that this mechanism will help EDINA understand the needs of the user community and suggest possible ways that allow the potential of mobile GIS to be realised throughout the UK academic community. The project will run from September 2009 to April 2010.
